Senior Test Manager - start-up technology consulting firm

As a Senior Test Manager, you will lead a team of skilled test engineers and work closely with our clients to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned test manager looking to make a significant impact in a fast-growing start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing guidance and support in test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, define test objectives, and develop detailed test plans.
• Design, implement, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data for various software applications and systems.
• Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze results, and identify defects, ensuring the quality and functionality of software.
• Implement and maintain a robust test automation framework to streamline testing processes.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure early identification and resolution of defects.
• Manage test environments and ensure their readiness for testing activities.
• Track and report test progress, including test coverage, defects, and overall quality metrics.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing test strategies and test plans.
• Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.) are a plus.
• Experience from the Banking, Insurance or Technology Consulting industries
