Service Technician (Tuas, Forklift, Lifttrucks)

Job description

In collaboration with an market entity and a dedicated team, the Service Technician will play a crucial role reporting to both the Service Manager and Field Service Manager. This position involves providing robust technical and maintenance support to the clientele, specifically through the professional execution of planned maintenance and unscheduled repairs for mechanical, battery electric, and internal combustion lift trucks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate from the workshop to deliver service to lift trucks.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to the Service Manager and Field Service Manager on repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring timely updates on job cards.
  • Ensure optimal functionality of lift trucks, ensuring all necessary work is satisfactorily completed before seeking acknowledgment on service job cards.
  • Adhere to company standards for the maintenance of tools and equipment, promptly reporting any breakages or losses.
  • Actively participate in and conduct accurate stock-take counts, providing precise daily cycle count data.
  • Strictly comply with on-site work safety requirements.
  • Understand and achieve daily work targets, keeping track of completed jobs and/or parts sales.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing reasonable amounts of overtime work to support business and customer needs.



Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:

  • Nitec/NTC-2/3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering studies.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul of industrial machinery or material handling equipment, specifically lift trucks.
  • Strong working knowledge in electrical/mechanical aptitude or electro-hydraulic equipment is advantageous.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and proactively address technical issues.
