SRE Systems Engineer

Our client, one of the fastest growing AI start-ups and a recognised market leader in the development and implementation of visual recognition technology in retail. They are seeking a SRE System Engineer to improve the monitoring systems and practices. This position reports to the Senior Software Engineer and will work in close conjunction with the SRE Team, DevOps Team and other Engineering Teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high availability and reliability of our services with large volume and transactions
• Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
• Maintain and improve our production infrastructures with new technologies

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or with equivalent experience
• Experience with Linux Operating System, including kernel, network, memory, process, threads
• Good with at least one scripting language such as Python, Shell
• Experience with creating and maintaining documentations for best practices and knowledge transfer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with container and orchestration ecosystem such as Docker, Kubernetes
• Familiar with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, VPC, EKS, etc
