Strategic Procurement Director

My clients are a big MNC within the Automation Manufacturing industry who is currently looking to hire a Procurement Director. You will be responsible for leading and developing the regional procurement organization in the APAC region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Optimizing quality and commercial conditions, driving innovation and digitalization, managing procurement initiatives, developing a robust supplier network, and implementing strategies for key commodities.
• Managing operating expenses, representing the company professionally in interactions with customers and vendors, and ensuring compliance is within the criteria.
• Explore and promote new technology and innovation with suppliers for adoption in product development for cost optimization and performance enhancement.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement and supply chain, outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, strategic planning skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. You would ideally have 10 years of experience within the automation manufacturing industry.

Preferred skills include goal management, negotiation skills, a collaborative work style, a strong work ethic, and a future-oriented mindset.

The Procurement Director should also possess radical ownership, be an influencer, and be ready to collaborate in a global network while taking responsibility and ownership. Some travel within China and Asia is required.
