Test Analyst (12 month contract role)

Job description

As a Test Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our software development process by ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and report defects. Your attention to detail and dedication to delivering flawless software will contribute to our mission of exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality.
  • Identify and report defects, providing clear and concise documentation.
  • Conduct regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure software stability.
  • Participate in test automation efforts to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze and document test results and provide feedback to the development team.
  • Maintain test environments and ensure test data is accurately configured.
  • Continuously update and improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Analyst or in a similar quality assurance role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
