Trading Accountant

My client is a leading global shipping firm and they are looking for an Accountant to manage key financial processes related to their shipping activities.



In this role, you will manage the financial aspects and focusing on voyage accounting and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. You will be integral in supporting their ccounting processes and collaborating across departments.



Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and post journal entries related to shipping voyages.
• Reconcile and review accounts associated with voyages, ensuring precision and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain readiness for audits and comply with relevant regulations.
• Handle reconciliations between intercompany accounts
• Ensure accurate financial data and undertake occasional non-voyage accounting tasks as needed.
• Work closely with various teams to support smooth operations and communication.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 3-6 years of experience in trading house
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
• Familiar with managing intercompany accounts or profit center structures
