Vice President -Cybersecurity Platform Support

We are working closely with our client, a global investment firm, to appoint a Vice President - Cybersecurity Platform Support to join their Cyber Security & Resilience (CSR) function.

This role sits within an independent risk management function responsible for safeguarding the firm's technology assets and data and enabling its secure digital transformation journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and maintaining core cybersecurity platforms, and will eventually lead a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for a wide range of cybersecurity platforms, including systems related to host security, network security, data protection, identity and access management, cloud security, application security, and security operations.
  • Monitor platform availability and resolve service disruptions to ensure continuity and resilience.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, assess patch impact, and apply patches to ensure systems remain secure and compliant.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage vendor escalations, and coordinate resolution processes.
  • Manage and resolve incident and problem tickets, perform root cause analysis, and drive continual improvement initiatives.
  • Document standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for automation of repeatable tasks.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of new enterprise-grade cybersecurity tools and solutions.
  • Act as a key technical advisor within the CSR team, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across Technology and Business units.
  • Provide leadership to a small team (under 5 members) in due course.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity or Information Security, with exposure to large-scale, complex environments,ideally in financial services or asset management.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the following platforms/tools:
    • Trend Micro Deep Security - including agent monitoring and remediation
    • CrowdStrike EDR - supporting large-scale environments (5,000+ agents)
    • Imperva DAMB - Database Activity Monitoring & Blocking
    • Zimperium MTD - Mobile Threat Defense for mobile devices
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux environments, with strong networking fundamentals and understanding of access control.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator.
  • Scripting skills (e.g., Python) and security certifications like CISSP are advantageous.
