Role Overview
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the total management of a seafood processing plant, ensuring that the facility meets the business objectives, including production volume, quality, delivery, talent development, cost, and profit. This role requires a dynamic individual who will play an active management role, supervising daily operations and leading the team in addressing both existing and potential challenges. The Plant Manager will drive operational improvements and changes while fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the plant to meet short- and medium-term financial and operational objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the plant's functions, including manufacturing, maintenance, quality control, engineering, logistics, distribution, sanitation, safety, and administration.
  • Develop and implement operating policies and procedures to ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met.

• Team Management & Development

  • Supervise and guide teams, including functional and operational managers, ensuring effective performance and achievement of plant objectives.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and talent development to create a high-performing, motivated team.
  • Manage resource allocation and handle day-to-day staff management issues.

• Strategic Planning & Problem Solving

  • Identify business challenges and opportunities, devise action plans, and execute solutions.
  • Drive change and continuous improvement across all departments, contributing to the achievement of key business targets.
  • Analyze problems and provide timely solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.

• Budgeting & Cost Management

  • Establish and manage the plant's operating budget, monitoring production costs and optimizing resource use.
  • Prioritize spending and resources to meet volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.

• Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Set and monitor performance targets in areas such as manufacturing efficiency, cost control, safety, legal compliance, and human resource management.
  • Regularly assess and report on plant performance, making adjustments to processes and practices to ensure continued success.

• Technology & Equipment Investments

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, and systems that enhance plant capabilities and improve production output.

Ideal Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in a production management role, with significant experience in seafood or food related industries.
• Extensive knowledge of production, quality control, engineering, and other methodologies to ensure the plant meets its targets and standards.
• Proven expertise in scientific problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development.
• Ability to navigate complex operational challenges and lead through change
• Highly compliance-oriented with a strong understanding of industry regulations.
• Committed to upholding company values in daily operations.
• Business-level fluency in English and Thai.
