APAC - Government Affairs

Job description

I am currently working with a well renowned Energy company at the moment who is looking to fill a Regional Government Affairs role. This role will be based in Singapore. You will be responsible for driving the governmental affairs within the region with strong influential skills in advising business heads and managing directors from different countries in the region accordingly.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Take ownership on key work packages in the energy transition projects across the region analyzing strategies and infrastructure opportunities, seeking dialog with government institutions for foreign trade promotion, including financial instruments.
  • Contribute to the development of the regional growth strategy by providing advice of key policy topics in climate protection, decarbonization and energy transition from Asian governments.
  • Continuously update and provide advice on changing policy landscape across Asian countries to relevant stakeholders within the region and to the corporate governmental affairs team.
  • Engage in strategic interaction and strengthen relationship proactively with governments, embassies, financial institutions, and associations to support growth of the company in the region achieve positive business impact and societal improvements in the region.

Ideally looking for candidates have minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience within the government affairs domain. Has managed multiple regional projects. Who understanding the comprehensive policies of governments.
