Business Development Manager

Job description

My client is a logistics technology company tackling and simplifying shipping issues using their proprietary technology. They are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to join their growing team in the Singapore office scale their Singapore market presence. You would be utilising your experience in SaaS sales and connections in the retail and ecommerce sector to drive revenue growth for the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating new leads and prospecting.
  • Manage a robust sales pipeline over the course of the entire sales lifecycle.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients and regularly check-in to identify, qualify and close opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 4-8 years of hands-on experience and proven ability in various aspects of business development, e., entering new markets, establishing networks, etc., both hunter and farmer
  • Experienced in working on both business and sales strategies to maximize revenue growth.
  • SaaS sales experience and experience with selling solutions to retail/ecommerce industry would be highly desirable. Knowledge of logistics would be an added advantage.
  • Dynamic personality with the drive to win new business, an expert multitasker, and able formulate and present sales pitches effectively to potential clients.
  • Creative mindset with excellent communication and analytical skills and a keen eye for details to be able to analyse data generated from CRM systems would be a big plus.
