Business Development Manager, APAC - Datacentre / Colocation

About Our Client

Our client is a reputable electrical and network infrastructure provider globally that serves a myriad of industries including healthcare, network, energy, computing and more. With the industry shifting more into the areas of Internet of Things, 5G network, smart cities and more, the importance of Micro Data Centres have become more prevalent today. As such, our client is looking for a Business Development Manager who has good hands-on experience in colocation or datacentres to spearhead the development in the Asia region.

Job Description

Reporting to the Business Development Director, your key responsibilities will be to spearhead the business growth within Asia, ensuring a healthy top and bottom line, while being the subject-matter expert when it comes to datacentres or colocation services. In addition, you would also be challenged to the following:

  • Develop the business development plan and the go to market execution strategy for APAC
  • Collaborate with business leads across the divisions to set the annual goals and streamline new product solutions
  • Identify the shortfalls and close the gaps between our existing product offerings and the market demand
  • Work with stakeholders to evaluate market demand under challenging environment and transform the market needs into business actions
  • Conduct business evaluations to satisfy customers' requirements and mitigate any potential issues so as to ensure repeat and referral businesses
  • Evaluate plans' performance through ongoing relationship-building efforts with customers and mitigate the shortfalls
  • Coordinate company activities or networking events on a proactive basis in order to create a personal branding and widen the influence that the organisation has in the datacentre or colocation sector
  • Maintain and strengthen customer and partnership relationships

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or Marketing
  • More than 5 years' sales or business development experience within the datacentre divestiture or colocation sector
  • B2B commercial and strategic marketing experience experiences especially in data communications under challenging business environments will be preferred
  • Expertise in telecommunications and colocation market segments, Micro-Tech Data Centre or System Integration in end user interactions
  • Proven experience in managing new partnerships and expanding into new territories
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and being innovative
  • Excellent communication skills to maintain and strengthen customer and partnership relationships
