Events Manager

My client is a global educational services provider, and they are looking to hire an Events Manager to join them in their Singapore office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Event management: Manage organizational details of all event and workshop projects.
  • Logistics and Procurement: Manage logistics and procurement of venue, F&B, rentals, manpower and supplies and ensure smooth flow of events and workshops.
  • Finance management: Manage annual event budgets and forecasts to ensure they are within allocated budget.
  • Team management: Manage a team of events professionals, while providing leadership and guidance to ensure performance.
  • Data analysis: Track and analyse events data to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness. Data analysis would also be key in ensuring events and workshops are meeting revenue targets.
  • Team Collaboration: collaborate with internal stakeholders to discuss ways on improving end user experience and satisfying external stakeholder needs

Key Requirements

  • At least 10 years in events management - end-to end event project management, including event procurement, finance, and event logistics. Education industry events management experience is a big plus.
  • Skilled in budget management and has prior experience with profit and loss management.
  • Experienced in managing and providing leadership and guidance to team members.
  • Able to perform data analysis on even financials and generate actionable insights.
  • Creatively driven, goal-oriented, with strong project management skills, capable of multitasking, and adept in negotiations.
  • Autonomous worker with excellent communication abilities, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative spirit that enhances team dynamics.
  • Comfortable with regularly traveling within the region to ensure smooth execution of events (up to 30% travel).
