Infrastructure Support (Trading/Unix)

Key Responsibilities

Monitor production systems and deliver timely L1/L2 support to maintain a highly available trading and research environment.
Rapidly investigate, analyze, and resolve alerts or incidents, escalating where needed to reduce impact on trade flow.
Collaborate closely with traders, external vendors, developers, and infrastructure engineers.
Oversee automated workflows, scheduled tasks, and recurring operational reporting.
Manage end‑user requests throughout the full lifecycle-intake, approvals, updates, and closure.
Identify operational inefficiencies and drive improvements through automation, tooling enhancements, and cross‑team collaboration.

1-2 years of hands‑on support experience in a high‑availability or mission‑critical environment.
Strong Linux/Unix administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, or OEL preferred).
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
Solid understanding of storage technologies and protocols (NFS; GPFS beneficial).
Experience with configuration and infrastructure automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling.
Working knowledge of monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus preferred).
Database administration background (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
Experience supporting containerized environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, GKE, Helm).
Strong understanding of network fundamentals-TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, PTP/NTP time‑sync.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot via network device command lines.
