This individual will join a high‑performing global support organization responsible for ensuring the stability and high availability of mission‑critical platforms-including IaaS, Build & Deploy systems, and core Research and Trading environments.

This role provides L1/L2 support across a geographically distributed infrastructure spanning APAC, EMEA, and AMER, with a strong focus on minimizing downtime, responding rapidly to production issues, and partnering closely with trading and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor production systems and deliver timely L1/L2 support to maintain a highly available trading and research environment.
  • Rapidly investigate, analyze, and resolve alerts or incidents, escalating where needed to reduce impact on trade flow.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, external vendors, developers, and infrastructure engineers.
  • Oversee automated workflows, scheduled tasks, and recurring operational reporting.
  • Manage end‑user requests throughout the full lifecycle-intake, approvals, updates, and closure.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and drive improvements through automation, tooling enhancements, and cross‑team collaboration.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

  • 1-2 years of hands‑on support experience in a high‑availability or mission‑critical environment.
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, or OEL preferred).
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
  • Solid understanding of storage technologies and protocols (NFS; GPFS beneficial).
  • Experience with configuration and infrastructure automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling.
  • Working knowledge of monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus preferred).
  • Database administration background (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
  • Experience supporting containerized environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, GKE, Helm).
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals-TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, PTP/NTP time‑sync.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot via network device command lines.
