Legal Secretary

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full secretarial support, including calendar management, travel coordination, and handling communications for assigned lawyers.
  • Prepare, transcribe, format, and edit legal documents and business materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with house style.
  • Manage client onboarding, file opening, billing processes, and expense submissions in accordance with firm policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, pitches, client materials, and coordination of client events in collaboration with fee earners.
  • Maintain CRM data, update lawyer credentials and CVs, and support business development initiatives.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and responding to evolving practice group needs.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or professional certification in secretarial studies; legal secretarial background in international firms preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with high attention to detail.
  • Proactive, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Strong time management, document handling, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates a professional, client-focused mindset.
