Pre-sales Engineer

Job description

My client is within the Tech industry providing enterprise technology solutions (hardware, software, and services) to their clients in a variety of industries. They are looking to hire a Pre-sales Engineer to join their team in Thailand. In this role, you would be working with customers within the Retail industry and providing them with tailored hardware, software and services solutions which satisfy their needs and addresses their pain points.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders of assigned accounts.
  • Understand customer's business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and also coordinate all technical sales activities of assigned accounts.
  • Create and present demos, proof-of-concepts and trials to customers to minimize post-sales issues.
  • Keep up-to-date with the company's products and services and their technical aspects and be the subject matter expert in providing technical advice and solutions to customers
  • Ensure customer's business needs are looked after and the solution provided meets their requirements while going above and beyond in guaranteeing customer satisfaction

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or equivalent
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience - understanding of retail store automation/retail in-store experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience in sales engineering or presales selling enterprise solutions in retail industry would be a plus
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate technical information to clients in a confident, engaging and persuasive manner
  • Able to listen to and understand the customers needs and is able to develop possible solutions to address those needs
  • Strong technical/software skills is an added advantage
