Regional BD Director - APAC
As the Regional BD Director - APAC, you will have full ownership and responsibility for managing a team of 10 to deliver sales targets and growth ambitions. You will manage and grow a regionally distributed teams responsible for direct sales in the Asia Pacific region. As the leader you must articulate a clear vision and set the overall strategy and goals for the business. You will also be expected to identify new opportunities in industry verticals and driving expansion into them. You will support the global sales team by working cross-functionally to optimise your internal stakeholder relationships
You will be in a standalone role with the potential to eventually build your own team from scratch. You will work closely with pre-sales and post-sales to effectively manage the sales cycle. You will be tasked to "hunt" and win new business across different verticals, closing off the sales cycle and generate revenue for the business. You will lead the partnership and deal process from strategy/planning, pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, terms negotiation, contract drafting and negotiation, through implementation.
The Successful Applicant:-
You should have a Bachelor's Degree with at least 7 years of experience in a client facing role, selling SaaS. You should have strong knowledge in a SaaS model, as well as API, Cloud and Geospatial. You should have a hunter's mentality and are skilled at uncovering opportunities through research, networking, and driving portfolio growth and expansion. You should have a successful track record as a business development leader at a leading geo-data, SaaS, or technology/software related company
