Regional Channel Sales Director

Job description

The Regional Channel Sales Director role is for a leading US MNC IT company that values individual growth and contributions to both local and global communities. You will manage a team responsible for driving the Channel Organization in the APAC region to the next level. This involves taking ownership of the channel sales team, implementing next-generation channel sales strategies, and achieving growth in channel sales.

Responsibilities include aligning with the APAC Channel Management Team, providing leadership to the channel sales team, and coaching and guiding them collaboratively. The Regional Sales Director should possess strong commercial acumen, understand the company's next-generation strategy, demonstrate a successful sales execution track record, and effectively communicate the wide product portfolio to guide the team in outperforming competitors.

Qualifications for the role include a solid understanding of solutions sales through the channel in the region, with ideally 8-10 years of recent channel only sales experience, proven team management experience, and skills such as building an impactful channel ecosystem, articulating the company's value proposition, and establishing it as the preferred vendor. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about different partner bases, including Distributors, Resellers, System Integrators, Consulting organizations and Professional Services organizations.

The Regional Sales Director should possess advanced sales skills, including leading teams in the development of advanced solution selling concepts, recurring revenue creation, and long-term solution sales success. Managerial skills are crucial for understanding business policies and practices, as well as energizing and leading the team. Business acumen is required for root cause analysis, improving long-term profitability, and anticipating future customer needs. Additionally, the candidate should have market and customer knowledge, applying both strategic and tactical understanding of markets to ensure success to the business. Channel management skills, including monitoring and measuring channel health and performance, are also essential for the role.
