Solution Architect (IT Pre Sales)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales) with a strong technical background who enjoys working closely with sales and customers. This role sits at the intersection of technology, solution design, and customer engagement.

You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, designing end-to-end solutions, supporting proposals and RFPs, and acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the pre-sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the sales team to support pre-sales activities including client meetings, technical discussions, and solution presentations
• Gather and understand customer requirements and translate them into scalable, cost-effective solutions
• Design and propose solutions across:
• Cloud & Hybrid Cloud (Microsoft Azure)
• Virtualization & Infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Converged & Hyper-Converged platforms (e.g. Cisco HyperFlex)
• Networking (Cisco)
• Storage (NAS & SAN - EMC, NetApp, HPE)
• Backup & Recovery (EMC, Arcserve)
• Prepare solution architectures, proposals, technical documentation, and BOMs
• Respond to RFPs / RFQs / tenders with technical inputs
• Support POCs, demos, and technical validations when required
• Work with internal delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to implementation
• Stay updated on new technologies, vendor offerings, and market trends

Requirements

• Strong background in infrastructure, data centre, and cloud technologies
• Hands-on experience with some or most of the following:
• Microsoft Azure (IaaS / Hybrid Cloud)
• VMware & Hyper-V
• Cisco networking
• Storage technologies (EMC, NetApp, HPE - NAS & SAN)
• Backup & recovery solutions
• Converged / Hyper-Converged infrastructure
• Prior experience in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or technical consultant role
• Comfortable engaging with customers, sales teams, and stakeholders
• Experience in writing proposals, solution documents, and technical presentations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant certifications (Azure, VMware, Cisco, etc.) are a plus
