We're a tired but very happy group of runners today.
Ambition have returned from an amazing night taking part in the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay - now in its 4th year in Singapore which saw over 130 relay teams furiously race around the beautiful Promontory @ Marina Bay.
Each team consisted of 10 runners who each run a course lap of 1 mile. Sounds pretty easy right? With a temperature of 28 degrees, 70% humidity and the most competitive bunch of runners gathered in the race village, we couldn't have been more wrong.
To say our team was nervous was a slight understatement but once the first member of the team took off with baton in hand, we all settled in to shouting each and everyone over the finish line until the last person crossed.
Despite all our reservations on the times we would get around in, we surprised ourselves and I know this only happens from the wonderful support each of us gave to one another. Never underestimate the power of teamwork and encouragement - no matter what you do in your career and in life.
We were also honoured to help support the race's official charity partner, The SportCares Foundation (SportCares) who use sport as a force for social good by empowering people in need.
A special congratulations to Stephanie Aglae our recruitment rocket who had the team's fastest time, to all our competitors for taking part, to the winners (we are in awe of your times!) and to Bloomberg for putting on a fantastic evening.
We're already started training for next year so watch out Macquarie, we're coming to get you!
